Yesterday we went to visit Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire. It is a beautiful country estate and it was where Winston Churchill was born. It is a holiday weekend in England, so there were lots of special events including a battle reenactment of an English Civil War battle by the Sealed Knot Society.

I always like to wear flat black boots at these country estates...ballet flats are too flimsy.
Tip: The interiors of many of these houses are not as impressive as the outside. If you are rushed for time or on a tight budget elect to just see the gardens.
This was one of my favorite days out in England so far.
