Navy Stripes and Mirrored Sunglasses

Summer Basics: Stripes, Nude Sandals, Gold Jewelry, and Navy.
This is outfit is made cool by my newest sunglasses, mirrored lens clear Oakleys.  I remember my Mom wearing these in the 90's and she gave them to me visit home.  I always knew she was a trendsetter.  

I broke up the dress with a light colored belted cardigan for when I wanted to take my blazer off in the office.

In the Ivy: Pop of Color

I got this red blazer at Zara last weekend when I was in DC.  I have already worn it way too many times this week, but it a great mix of formal and casual and the bright pop of pinkish-red seems to work with a lot of what I already have. 

In happy news, I will be on my way to England this time next week!

Striped Sailor Chic

Blazer: vintage Brooks Brothers; Sweater: GAP; Skirt: J Crew; Heels: Nine West

I am stripe obsessed: black and white, navy and white, shades of blue.  If it reminds you of a sailor or the South of France chances are I would love it.  I recently bought this J Crew blue and white pencil skirt.  I have a feeling that I will be wearing this skirt a lot throughout the spring and summer. 

This look is about as preppy as I get.  I topped off the skirt with a white knit sweater, pearls, and a navy vintage Brooks Brothers blazer.

 The leopard print added a bit of edge that I always like to have with each outfit.
